I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist with a private practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. I specialize in both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. I treat both psychiatric disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder) and psychological disorders (general unhappiness in life, problems with romance or work, identity issues). These issues often overlap which is why I sometimes prescribe a combination of medication and psychotherapy, in which we work together to understand and explore the difficulties.
Meeting with and deciding to work with a psychiatrist is a very personal decision. Above all else, I believe that there should be a good fit between you and your psychiatrist.
I enjoy working with patients who have a wide-range of psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia.
I also specialize in psychological disorders including: chronic dissatisfaction in life, unsuccessful or difficulty in romantic or other close relationships, family problems, issues with identity, etc. These kinds of problems can most often be helped with long-term, exploratory psychotherapy.
